Victoria Laurie inducted into WA Women’s Hall of Fame

On Tuesday 7 March, in the Perth-based Government House Ballroom, Women in Media Founder, co-Chair, and journalist extraordinaire, Victoria Laurie was inducted into the Western Australia Women's Hall of Fame.


Following a Welcome to Country performed by Respected Elder Aunty Glenda Kickett, also a WA Women’s Hall of Fame inductee (2016), the new Minister for Women’s Interest The Hon. Sue Ellery MLC gave an address, which was followed by the announcement of the 2023 Inductee’s.

The women were individually announced and invited to the stage to be congratulated by the Minister and category sponsor and given a specially designed and exclusive pin, along with a certificate.

Sixteen inspiring Western Australian women were inducted into the WA Women’s Hall of Fame, and a further four women in the ‘Roll of Honour’, acknowledging their contribution to this great State. This year’s inductees represent eight categories: Arts, Business, Community, Culture, Education, Health, Sport, and STEM.
