Digital Dangers: tips for cyber resilience and e-safety

What are the cybersecurity challenges facing media professionals and how might we address the increasing problem of online abuse?
In the first of our seminar series, former ABC journalist Karen Percy addresses the digital dangers faced by media professionals in their working and personal life including:
- the increasing issue of cybersecurity and harassment of journalists
- dealing with trauma
- being subjected to graphic images, increasingly likely given the widespread abuse of social media
- how organisations can protect employees
The presentation is followed by a panel of digital tech, ICT, cybersecurity, media, and communications experts addressing the issues raised in the presentation.
